Storm Environmental’s Storm Plus facility is a dedicated 50,000ft² repair and refurbishment plant exclusively for steel-bodied waste and recycling bins. Upon arrival, all bins undergo rigorous inspection, with onsite straightening as needed. Subsequently, bins are meticulously processed through our cutting-edge computer-controlled conveyor system, which includes washing, drying, painting, and finishing stages. This innovative approach sets a new standard for quality and efficiency in bin refurbishment.
At Storm Plus, every container receives the same meticulous treatment, regardless of its origin. After undergoing thorough inspection and rectification to meet European Standard EN 840 requirements, containers are subjected to a comprehensive blast wash inside and out, followed by drying in a continuous oven. Each bin is then refinished in a bespoke RAL colour coating, with new castors, lids, and logos fitted before delivery to the dispatch area.
Our plant is designed with environmental sustainability in mind, featuring water filtration systems for bin washing and water curtain recovery in the paint plant to prevent emissions into the atmosphere.

Once finished products reach our despatch department, they go through a final checking procedure before they are protected by returnable packaging to prevent any damage to the product during transport.
Our large fleet of recently acquired double deck transporters are fitted with special tail lift loading equipment, ensuring safe loading and unloading of all Storm products.
