Storm Environmental is proud to announce that we have been recognised at the MRW National Recycling Awards, winning the Innovation Award for Recycling Equipment and Vehicle Design.
This accolade celebrates our commitment to continue developing solutions that improve recycling and waste management for communities across the UK.
Our award-winning project, ‘Smart Housing and On-The-Go Recycling Infrastructure’, was delivered in partnership with Westminster City Council and Veolia UK. By introducing our innovative four-wheeled bin housing PODs across housing estates and four-way litter and recycling PODs on busy streets, the project has transformed public spaces, helping to create cleaner environments and encourage higher levels of recycling participation.
This recognition highlights the value of clear communication, strong design and collaboration in delivering modern waste solutions. Our innovations are making recycling easier for residents and providing local authorities with practical, efficient ways to manage waste.
Storm Director Ian Powell said:
“This award is a huge honour; being asked by the City of Westminster to innovate a product that can capture design and functionality along with using smart technology. This year, Storm delivered to the City of Westminster a product that has seen an increase in recycling participation, made streets safe against fires, and been well received by the residents.”
